Creating an OPC-DA Client Connection​

To create an OPC-DA client connection to Aveva OI Server:

  1. Log in to the Scheduler Dashboard

  2. Click on the "Configuration" menu, then on the "Connections" submenu

  3. Click the "Create" button

  4. In the Description field, enter the connection description

  5. In the Driver field, select "OPC-DA Client"

  6. In the OPC Url field, enter the OPC server URL in the format: opcda://localhost/*ServerName*

  7. Click "Save"

Testing a Function Connected to Aveva OI SIM Server​

To test a function connected to Aveva OI SIM Server:

  1. Enable the Aveva OI SIM Server

  2. In the Scheduler Dashboard, define a function connected to the OI SIM

  3. Click "Test"

  4. Verify the test result in the Scheduler Dashboard, under Jobs > Succeeded:
